Poppies Foundation 1-2-3+ Building Blocks

PoppieS Foundation 1-2-3
Would you like to prepare for the Competitive Exam ( “Oposiciones”) for Secondary School English Language Teachers, but you don’t know how to go about it?
Have you sat the exam before and are now looking for a different approach in your preparation?
Are you looking for materials that help you understand the content for the topic essays, implement that knowledge to answer questions for the Language Exam (Práctico) and guide you to draft and design the Syllabus, Units and Learning Situations?

PoppieS offers you precisely that: The topics covered in Foundation 1 provide the “theory” that will then be implemented through the activities designed to prepare for the Language Exam (Práctico) in Foundation 2 and those that guide you to draft and plan your Teaching Programme, Units and Learning Situations in Foundation 3.

Very useful, as former students have often told us, whether this is your first time sitting the exam, or you have tried on different occasions.

The courses are designed to allow you to prepare for the exam on your own or with the help of a tutor to clarify and provide feedback on the tasks proposed in each mini-course.

Materials in the POPPIES Foundation 1-2-3

No longer on Moodle, the Contents covered are provided through a DIDACTIC GUIDE with links to the workbooks, topic contents, videos, suggested answer keys, blog posts, etc.

Again, the organisation for its delivery has changed, but in essence, it remains the same. It now consists of a set of “mini-courses”, each focusing on a topic and specific parts of the Syllabus Design or Teaching Programme, organised as follows:

Content organisation

The course aims to give you ideas and develop techniques to study the topics efficiently so that you really remember and understand, and to introduce some ICT resources you may or may not be familiar with. It consists of 2 Units, and there’s a final assignment to get to know about you and your expectations..
