This is just a brief post to announce the three latest updates on the Poppies’ Website:
New page for convocatorias (click here)
To make things easier for all the Poppies’ readers I have decided to provide a new page here for the “convocatorias a profesores de inglés“. On it, you will find all the information (including links when relevant) concerning current calls for the Competitive exam for Primary, Secondary or Escuelas English teachers.
Even though this year there won’t be many, it will serve for future calls as well. The idea is that you can access relevant information, not only for the current year but also previous calls. This will allow you to check the requirements and see if there are any changes.
I have changed the Useful Links for Resources for English Teachers, as I plan to incorporate links to useful blogs, websites and resources, in general, to help you
- Prepare your classes
- Get ideas for activities
- Access different resources
- Find useful ICT tools
- Be inspired by other teachers
I’ll be incorporating new links once I check what they offer so that you can see at a glance what you’ll find in them.
I’ll also be incorporating ideas, samples, etc. so that you can use them in your classes of be inspired by them. Do let me know if there is something you would like to find and is not there.
Drop me a line here and tell me about it! I promise to do my best to oblige.
I am about to start the final revision for the new edition of the book Inglés. Porgramación Didáctica, to be published soon by 7 Editores-MAD. It took me more than two months to produce this new version, including quite a few Saturdays and Sundays. I am really excited about it, as the book incorporates new ideas and suggestions to help you with the drafting of your own Syllabus Design.
I have paid special attention to the suggestions made by some of my former students, particularly Adelaida & Natalie. Thanks to all my students, past and present for all the things I have learnt with them. Cooperation had been previously included, but now it plays a significant role. The same goes for formative assessment, which has now been transformed into Learning-Oriented Assessment. I also hope I have succeeded in showing how to produce rubrics so that they really help teachers to assess for learning.
